Internship Experience in Foodservice Sales

As a Foodservice sales intern at Cargill I worked primarily on 3 projects. The first project was matching sustainability capabilities within our company with our current customers. The goal was to service the customer and match capabilities with their goals. The second project was finding an efficient supply chain flow for manufactures within a certain segment. This was important to better service the customers and connect more dots within the company. The third project was finding new opportunities within prepared entrees. This project consisted of looking at current opportunities available and then talking with the sales team to uncover more leads. This internship was extremely valuable to my personal development and professional development. It introduced the world of sales to me and taught me how to problem solve and work in a business setting.
